SINT-MARTENS-LENNIK – In en rond de jongensschool heeft weer de jaarlijkse Vlaamse Kermis en de 23e Sint-Cecilialoop van de Harmonie Sint-Cecilia plaats. De uitslag is te vinden na onze fotorepertage, hieronder.
De Sint-Cecilialoop trok zaterdag 193 lopers van jong tot oud. Ze legden afstanden van 200, 400, 1.200 meter en 6 en 12 kilometer af. Het is een initiatief van de Koninklijke Harmonie Sint-Cecilia. Zaterdag wordt traditioneel afgesloten met mosselen en stoofvlees. Zondag is er een Vlaamse Kermis met hetzelfde restaurant en optredens van onder meer Henri De Meuter die muziek brengt van The Shadows, Paul Anca, Louis Neefs, enz. De opbrengst wordt door de harmonie gebruikt voor de aankoop van instrumenten en infrastructuur. Het bestuur kocht met de opbrengst een tent die op de Vlaamse kermis wordt gebruikt.
